  • Play-Pause-Play Doesn’t Work

Listening to a podcast and clicking on the AirPods Pro stem once the podcast will pause… cool! However when pressing the stem once again to resume listening the podcast does not resume at all. This has been broken for a while. Please fix.
  • Missing basic functionality

Your unarchive all feature is actually completely useless and does nothing and this is why I no longer pay for a premium subscription. Your even more useless AI just gave me directions that I was already following and refused to give me a functional link to a human 😊

I’ve tried and uses a lot of podcast players. This is my favorite. It’s easy to add new podcasts. ONE MISSING FEATURE? “Catch-up”. For this (whatever) podcast, auto-add the next oldest unplayed episode once every X days but only if there are fewer than Y episodes from that podcast in my queue.
  • Great tool, needs some tweaks for multi device

It’s fabulous of an independent podcast tool. I use many different devices. This does have a feature that is meant to sync them so that progress is maintained across all. I find it. This feature works about 50% of the time. The rest of the time. I find that it simply doesn’t sync and fail silently.
  • Buggy

Syncing is a disaster. It doesn’t timestamp each engagement, just treats the latest check-in on any synced device as the most relevant info. So no matter that I’ve advanced an hour on an episode via my phone, if it checks in with the iPad at home it may decide I’m back at the beginning, or on an entirely different podcast, WHILE I’m listening in the car. Or just wipe out my intentional choices to put things on the Up Next queue. Absolutely no intelligent prioritization of the various syncs and many, many annoyances as a result.
  • Better than most

My biggest issue with podcast players is the difficulty moving directly to the next episode while driving. Pocket Casts is the easiest when it comes to this, though it’s still not perfect.
  • So much better than Apple’s

I thought I’d have to manually re-add each one since Apple doesn’t export. Nope. Pocket Casts can import them all, which would then allow me to export from Pocket Casts to something else, but I wouldn’t need to. The widgets and shortcuts are useful, it doesn’t forget which episode I was on like Apple’s does. And I can find episodes I was listening to a few days ago without searching through the entire show’s episodes. Apple, take note.
  • The Best Podcast Player.

This is by far the best podcast player in my view. In fact it’s one of, if not THE, best app I have used. I listen to a lot of podcasts (apparently given the stats in the app I have listened to over 300 days of podcasts in the last decade) and this app is why.
